Each winter, Igloofest unites thousands of electronic music fans to dance under the stars at Montreal’s Old Port. With its glacial décor and the location’s steel structures, its striking architectural stage design, its programming drawing from the best local and international DJs, and its Igloo village and “Iglooswag” snowsuit costume contest, Igloofest is one of Montreal’s coolest events and one of Canada’s most notable. How do I get there?
#favoritetransitoption #sustainabledevelopment #responsiblepartying Igloofest is a few minutes’ walk from the Champs-de-Mars and Place d’Armes Metro stations, on the orange line. Taking the bus is also an option. For all public transit routes and schedules, visit the STM website.
Long distance bus
If you’re coming from further afield, the Montreal bus terminal welcomes regional, national and continental busses and is connected to the Berri-UQAM Metro station.
Whether you’re a driver or passenger, AmigoExpress ridesharing is there to save you money and help you meet new friends.
VIA Rail Canada connects over 450 Canadian cities. If you’re coming from the United States, take Amtrak, which offers routes from several American cities to Montreal’s downtown Central Station, which is connected by walkway to the Bonaventure Metro Station.
Only 20 minutes from downtown, YUL, Montreal Pierre Eliott Trudeau International Airport welcomes over 40 of the world’s largest Airlines, with direct flights from over 130 destinations across Canada, the US and overseas.
Is Igloofest accessible to people with reduced mobility?
Yes. While there are no reserved sections for people with reduced mobility, accessible toilets are on site. We would also be happy to provide free entry to any guides helping those with reduced mobility. To take advantage of this offer, please visit customer service when you arrive on site.

Can I bring and consume cannabis onsite?
- Smoking or vaping cannabis is now prohibited in all public places.
- Since January 1st, 2020, buying or possessing cannabis is prohibited under 21 years old.
What happens if I lose my belongings on site?
Write us at email@example.com the day after the event to see if we found your stuff. After 15 days, unclaimed items will be donated to charity.
PURCHASING PASSES AND TICKETS
How do I get my pass or ticket?
Igloopass’ and individual tickets can be bought in advance here, with a confirmation coming via e-mail. From there, download them to your smartphone to scan them on site. Alternately, you can also print out the confirmation and have that scanned on entry instead.
So I won’t get a plastic Igloopass?
Exactly. You’ll have to present your digital Igloopass as well as photo ID for each event to come in.
I want to buy a second pass for my friend, but the box office won’t let me
Since our electronic passes are delivered by e-mail, you can’t by more than 1 pass per e-mail address. You can still buy a second pass by starting a second transaction and entering the e-mail of the person for whom you’re purchasing the pass.
What payment options are available online?
Our online box office accepts Visa and Mastercard. Unfortunately, prepaid cards and Visa Debit cards are not yet accesible on our platform. We are currently working on adding these payment options.
Are tickets available at the door?
Absolutely. And all forms of payment are accepted.
I’m having trouble purchasing tickets online, help!
In most cases, incomplete transactions are due to incorrect billing addresses. Make sure that the address linked to your credit card is the same one you use for the transaction. (If you moved to a new address, it might be different than your current one.)
My purchase didn’t work, but the transaction appeared on my credit card statement. What gives?
No worries, the transaction is temporary (usually awaiting authorisation). It will be removed within 5-6 business days. Still there a week later? Write us at firstname.lastname@example.org. We’ll be happy to help.
I can’t find my ticket in my e-mail. What do I do?
Check your SPAM folder. Still not there? Up until the day of the event, write us at à email@example.com and we’ll gladly send you your ticket. If it’s the day of the event, visit customer service on site with the credit card used for the transaction, and photo ID.
