From having his tracks played at festivals like Time Warp and Igloofest to Europe’s most notorious dance-floors like Berghain, Amnesia, Elrow, and Coco Rico; Mike Laz’s music stirs minds and shakes souls as Techno should. Born into electronic music through various channels, Mike Laz found his rhythm and sound as a resident DJ at Circus Afterhours in 2011 playing alongside the likes of Joseph Capriati, Gary Beck, Alex Bau, and more. Today, he holds a residency at the internationally renowned musical haven, Stereo Montreal (voted #1 Best Club in North America, DJ MAG 2017) performing monthly with artists such as Chris Liebing, Richie Hawtin, Marcel Dettman, Truncate, Alan Fitzpatrick, Radio Slave, Scuba, Pan Pot, Monoloc, Perc, Lucy, and Marcel Fengler just to name a few.
Along with rocking crowds to banging sets, Mike Laz has released acclaimed productions on various labels (Heaven to Hell, Italo Business, Beat Therapy), and has received support from grandiose artists such as Len Faki, Drumcell, Mark Knight, and many more.
Currently stationed out of Montreal, Mike Laz is ready to bring his sound to new crowds and share his arsenal of head banging and body bumping bombs. The versatility in his style matches the dark demeanor of Berlin’s revered Tresor, to a lighter aesthetic found in Panorama Bar.
With original productions already hitting #12, #14, and #16 on Beatport’s top 100 Charts, Mike Laz’s contribution to the contemporary electronic music landscape has been felt, and is perpetually gaining force.
