This year, Igloofest presents IGLOO NOUVEL AN, a memorable night to ring in the New Year in the frosty air!

Starting at 8 PM, join us at Quai Jacques-Cartier to groove to the beats of over eight artists until 2 AM. The night's menu will include a unique countdown at midnight and a show that will blow your tuques away!

A Full Night

Here is what you can expect to celebrate the new year!

  1. There will be music for every taste with a fully francophone and quebecois lineup!

  2. A variety of animation and activity will be available on site to augment your night. You definitely want to be there for the midnight countdown!

  3. Multiple bars and food-trucks will be there to make sure you have the best of night! Hot chocolate, coffee, mulled wine, cocktails, everything will be there.

  • Igloofest New Year's Eve is a free, original and festive event, taking place on December 31st to celebrate the arrival of the new year, in the heart of the Canadian winter at the Montreal Old Port, more precisely at the Quai Jacques Cartier, on the Igloofest site.

  • Igloofest New Year's Eve will take place on Tuesday, December 31st 2024, from 8 pm to 2 am. 

  • At the Montreal Old Port, more precisely at the Quai Jacques Cartier, on the Igloofest site.

  • Yes! Food trucks and bars with hot chocolate, coffee and drinks!

  • Yes! This is an event meant for everyone, from children to great grand-parents, everyone deserves to celebrate New Year's Eve with their loved ones! 

  • Children 12 years old and under have free access to the VIP section of Igloo New Year. Children must also have identification and be accompanied by an adult holding a VIP ticket. No alcohol is served to individuals under 18.

  • We're currently in discussion with the STM to facilitate transportation to and from quai Jacques-Cartier. If a decision is made, the STM will communicate it. 

  • Yes. While there are no reserved sections for people with reduced mobility, accessible toilets are on site. We would also be happy to provide free entry to any guides helping those with reduced mobility. To take advantage of this offer, please visit customer service when you arrive on site.

  • ALL ATTENDEES AND BAGS WILL BE SUBJECT TO A SEARCH WHEN ACCESSING THE SITE!

    • Animals, except duly identified and accredited assistance dogs
    • Any other object deemed dangerous or harmful, at the discretion of the organization
    • Bicycles, skateboards, skates
    • Bladed weapons, blunt objects or any item that can be used as a weapon (including chains and even wallet chains and spikes)
    • Drugs and related accessories (except prescription drugs in the original container with the prescription)
    • Equipment, containers or objects activated by compressed air or pressurized propellants.
    • Fireworks, confetti, sparklers or firecrackers
    • Fluorescent safety bibs or clothing
    • Food and drinks
    • Glass containers
    • Laser pointer
    • Motorcycle or bicycle helmet
    • Musical instruments (megaphone, speaker, whistle)
    • No backpacks, cooler bags, sports bags, camping-style or frame bags, regardless of size, will be accepted on site. All other bags whose dimensions exceed 35cm X 35cm X 15.25cm
    • Portable and folding chairs of all kinds
    • Professional cameras (devices with detachable lenses are considered “professional”)
    • Promotional Material and/or flyers in large quantities: It is prohibited to solicit on the site, sell, exhibit, display, or distribute promotional material
    • Small devices allowed only (less than 8 inches).
    • Tents
    • Umbrella
    • Video or audio or video recording equipment of any kind (Drone, Camera stands, selfie stick, tripod or similar item)
    • Wearing war or First Nations headdresses.

    Any person in possession of a prohibited item will be prohibited from entering, unless they voluntarily dispose of this item in the containers provided for this purpose. There is no locker room or place to place items in lockers.

    • Photo ID (license, passport, health insurance card)
    • Reusable bottle
    • Clothing adapted to the temperature (hat, gloves and boots necessary for an incredible evening)

    • Small bags (they will be searched upon entry)
