Feel that? That energy in the air? Well strap on your boots and get ready, because Igloofest officially launches its 14th edition THIS Thursday!
Get ready for mind melting, eccentric, melodic and dance-ready sounds – but let’s take a look at what’s in store, in order, shall we?
THURSDAY, JANUARY 16TH
OPENING
THE BLAZE (DJ set)
This Thursday January 16th, we’ll start at the Sapporo stage with the acidic sounds of Montreal’s Silktits, followed by Robert Johnson resident Lauer’s steady hand.
To end this first evening with a bang, French duo The Blaze will then treat us to a DJ set just as epic as their cult-favourite productions.
At the Vidéotron stage, Kizi Garden will take over the evening as Adrian Voglen, Charlotte, RoH and Waner heat up the festival’s intimate dance floor.
FRIDAY, JANUARY 17TH
ANJUNABEATS
The next day’s stellar programming, meanwhile, will come courtesy of Anjunabeats! Yes, Above & Beyond’s label will take over the Sapporo stage with Jaytech, Oliver Smith, Alpha 9, Gabriel & Dresden and Ilan Bluestone. Be aware: smiling faces and hands in the air will be mandatory!
At the Vidéotron stage, Saisons will be in command, with local heroes Kora, Gab Rhome and Wuachuma taking you into another world.
SATURDAY, JANUARY 18TH
ANNA
REINIER ZONNEVELD (live)
Finally, Saturday will be one for the techno lovers among us, as the incomparable ANNA treats us to a spectacular set, as she always does when visiting Montreal.
Dutch maestro Reinier Zonneveld will also mark this evening with an ‘can’t-miss’ performance, while Alex Pycke opens things up to get our legs in dancing mode.
At the Vidéotron stage, dance, house electro and everything else electronic music has to offer will be on display, courtesy of Vancouver scene leader REGULARFANASY, Barcelona’s Phran, straight from Spain’s party capital, and the always energetic Honey Soundsystem.
