The Sapporo stage launches with a line-up spotlighting the divergent strains of hip-hop. Over at the Videotron Mobile stage, our friends at Saintwoods step up with a line-up of new-gen future bass and house, featuring Rue be Bois back-to-back MLB at 8pm, WYLN at 9pm, Heron Preston at 10:30pm. VJ Binocle (8pm) and Push 1 Stop (10:30pm) make it a lightshow.

We turn to dancefloor-burnin’ techno and house to start the weekend. Hushlamb crew co-founder Alicia Hush warms up the Sapporo stage with a live PA at 7:30pm, before hotly tipped American DJ Kim Ann Foxman drops by for her Igloofest debut at 8:45pm. At 10:30pm, Berlin techno veteran Paul Kalkbrenner returns to our fair city to finish off the night in high style. Setting the sound to images are Myriam Boucher (7:30pm), Video Girl (8:45pm), and VJ Vincent Raineri (10:30pm).

The Videotron Mobile stage hosts the Music Is My Sanctuary crew’s UK Garage Forever showcase. As of 8pm, DJs Lexis and Dr. Love take us through the wide history of UKG courtesy of their deep crates. LLL (8pm) and Cosmo Geo (10pm) handled the scenography all night long.

To finish off the first weekend, the techno gets dark n’ dirty for those who like their parties stretching out for days. From 7:30pm, Montreal’s Debbie Døe warms up the Sapporo stage, followed at 9pm by a reunion with one of our favourite DJs, Misstress Barbara, joining us this time out to celebrate her 20th year in the game! At 10:45pm, British techno pioneer Dave Clarke shows up to take us to the finish line. Keeping the stage visually stunning are TiND (7:30pm) and Diagraf (10:45pm).

At the Videotron Mobile stage, Maus and Soundshaper, two DJs who’ve kept the local fires burning for several generations of parties now, join forces at 8pm to deliver euphoric moments all night long. It’ll all look great courtesy of Jocool (8pm) and VJ Homing (10pm).
